Black Caviar conditioner Peter Moody was a guest speaker at the fundraiser.
He recalled the moment he asked Queen Elizabeth if she wanted to Black Caviar after the Group I Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2012.
To the attendees in the packed Birdsville Hall Mr Moody explained how rare the occasion was that the Queen would pat a racehorse.
But Black Caviar was of unbelievable calibre.
“She captured peoples imaginations across the world,” Mr Moody said.
