AFL grand final: Cyril Rioli follows in a grand tradition

Cyril Rioli wasn't born when his uncle won a Norm Smith medal. He was only four years old when his other uncle won one, too. Rioli grew up watching replays of Michael Long whipping down the MCG wings against Carlton, and found out a few years ago what Maurice Rioli did for Richmond in a losing side against the Blues. Was this meant to be? He didn't grow up feeling destined to get one too. But to finish his fifth grand final understanding a bit more about what they had experienced meant a lot. "It's an unbelievable feeling, to follow in their footsteps. It's humbling."
