As speculation continues about whether Matthew Pavlich is going to call time on his illustrious AFL career, his new book Purple Heart may hold a key to his future plans.
Pavlich has so far kept quiet on whether he will play on or call it quits after 335 games - telling Fox Footy on Saturday that he still didn't know what he was going to do.
But Pavlich's new book Purple Heart, which was released this week, refers to Aaron Sandilands and Luke McPharlin has his "ex-teammates".
McPharlin retired after the preliminary final loss to Hawthorn but any end to Sandilands' career would certainly be news to Dockers fans.
Pavlich's book already caused a stir on the weekend when extracts appeared detailing the Fremantle exit of former coach Mark Harvey. The book was launched this week but on Sunday was already discounted by $7 in some Perth stores.
