Police and forensic officers attended a home in Beck Crescent in Happy Valley about 8.15am.
Mount Isa police shift supervisor Sergeant Jeremy Young said the man was found in a different location to where the alleged stabbing occurred.
POLICE also charged a 26-year-old man with possession of a knife in a public place.
It will be alleged that police officers observed a cyclist was carrying a knife in a sheath attached to his belt about 9.35pm on Friday, October 16.
He will appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on November 14.
IN another incident, police charged a 37-year-old man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol.
It will be alleged that about 7.45pm on Friday, October 16 police received a phone call about a vehicle that was being driven in a dangerous manner. He returned a reading of 0.323.
