With more than 400 nominations, this year's event promises to be one of the biggest the town has had, according to coordinator Morris Wright.
He said preparations are on track to accommodate the huge crowd that will start arriving today.
"I'm hoping that we will be able to match last year's turnout which was the best we have ever had," he said.
The action will kick off tonight with a barbecue for all participating in the event.
It will be followed by campdrafting throughout the day tomorrow with kids as young as eight able to take part in the sport.
This will be followed by bull riding before steer wrestling tomorrow night.
Sunday will see a full day of rodeo action and Morris said he was looking forward to what the weekend has in store.
"It's going to be full on that's for sure," he said.
"I can't wait for everyone to get down here tonight so we can fire up that barbecue."
The rodeo action will take place at the Dajarra Campdraft and Rodeo Arena.
