Two-year-old Splitz Ballet Dance performer Madeleine McGrath was so keen she performed in the four-year-olds’ routine, matching their moves.
Proud father Andy said she had “done really well.”
“Emily (instructor) has been really good for the kids (and has) been very patient.”
Splitz Ballet Dance instructor Emily White said classes in Cloncurry only began six weeks ago.
“Cloncurry has not had a ballet class in 20 years and with help from the Country Women’s Association we have been able to do weekly Saturday lessons,” she said.
The classes have about 30 ballet dancers.
CWA north west division president Fran Gray said ballet classes were important for isolated families who felt they did not have the same opportunities as those living in cities.
