The Coffee Club has donated $7 million plus to dozens of charities over the past two decades and in 2013, Mount Isa’s own Coffee Club reported one of the highest takeaway coffee sales in Australia.
Mr Lazarou will be taken on a tour of the city and will be given a special Underground Mine tour at Outback at Isa before attending the Australia Day celebrations.
The free Aussie breakfast and entertainment will begin at 7am on the Civic Centre lawns, and the official Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony will begin at 9am inside the Civic Centre Auditorium.
There will be seven categories awarded on the day, including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Senior Sports Award, Junior Sports Award, Community Event of the Year, Art and Culture Award, and the Mount Isa Legend Award.
The citizenship ceremony will see more than 20 Mount Isa residents from all corners of the globe become Australian citizens.
