However it is determined its focus should not just be about people's problems.
headspace Mount Isa manager Dr Jacqui Olley said they had lots of services to help young people in need but they also strived to provide positive experiences for the youth of the city.
"We have opportunities for people to gain experience working on a youth-led magazine or event planning for big events like Youth Week," Dr Olley said.
"We also have social groups including anime, drumbeat and social coffee group."
It's all in a day's work for headspace Mount Isa whose stated mission is to provide early intervention services to local young people aged 12 to 25 years.
headspace is located at 1/2 West St and offers confidential and youth friendly services at no cost.
These service include primary health care, mental health and counselling, alcohol and other drug services as well as educational services.
Dr Olley said they had psychologists, a nurse, dietitian, excise physiologist and tele-psychiatry who can take on case-by-case appointments.
"We are looking forward to a GP starting soon and we have excellent partnerships with other organisations who assist our clients with vocational and drug and alcohol services," she said.
"We also offer programs and activities to engage young people on their interests."
