COUNCILLORS have suggested installing a windmill in front of Mary Kathleen Park to better highlight the Cloncurry Unearthed Museum to travellers.

The Cloncurry Shire Council will set aside $30,000 from the budget for approvals, footing design and installation.
The same motion moved by acting mayor Jane McMillan in the January 29 council meeting also said the Krupp Crane should be moved adjacent to the existing Rail Ambulance location at Mary Kathleen Park.
During the meeting Cr McMillan said a windmill was “a pretty significant part of our heritage”.
It would not block the view of the centre because it would be in line with a row of trees, she said.
