Doomadgee police have charged a 31-year-old man after a local incident on Friday. Around 8.20pm, police went to the corner of Burke and Robert Sts where they said a man was aggressively holding a knife in each hand walking down the street. After he unarmed himself, police arrested him without incident. A 31-year-old Doomadgee man is charged with possession of a knife in a public place.  He is scheduled to appear in the Doomadgee Magistrates Court on February 17.
