Manager, Betty Kiernan, said it was a great opportunity for the board, residents and staff to meet the Premier and showcase the new nursing home and redevelopment of the old home.
“The old home had just completed another stage of the redevelopment which was previously 34 low-care rooms that are now 12 apartments for staff,” Ms Kiernan said.
The Premier was very impressed with the redevelopment and praised the progress they had made.
“The Premier had morning tea with the residents and joined our sing-a-long session and sung with them. It really was a special visit,” Ms Kiernan said.
