“In my view John Flynn is one of Australia’s greatest sons who did more for Australia than anyone else did,” Everald said.
Speaking in Mount Isa on Thursday, Everald said he acquired all the facts on Flynn’s career from when he was born in Victoria through to when he started the Australian Inland Mission.
“The books is about all that he accomplished,” he said.
“I tried to make the book like a story and a reflection of his life rather than a history. I wanted readers to get involved with the man.”
He launched the book in Cloncurry on Friday at John Flynn Place.
Everald said his purpose for writing the book was for young Australians starting out in their career to read it and be inspired to do something tremendous for Australia like John Flynn.
