The Moondarra Dash or Dawdle is a 5km or 10km trail run (“dash”) or walk (“dawdle”) organised by Gecko Outdoor Sports.
The trail allows anyone of any fitness to participate allowing all to go as fast or as slow as they would like.
The first in a series, the event had to be pushed back when heavy rain caused flooding to the crossings on March 13.
Weather was not a factor this weekend with organiser Alison Whitehead saying 75 people registered while 58 turned up on a fine morning.
Most there seemed ready to dash with Alison’s advice ringing in their ears to occasionally look up to enjoy the lakeside scenery and also look down to avoid some of the stones and obstacles on the course.
Alison also encouraged all runners to join them in the running club which meets at different locations each Saturday morning at 6.15am.
