“Looking after You” talks will be in Mount Isa and Cloncurry April 27-30 supported by North and West Remote Health and the Cloncurry Council.
Some talks will focus on health for women across the lifespan and provide an opportunity to learn more about topics including contraception, pregnancy, menopause, hot flushes and mental wellbeing.
Other sessions for pregnant women and new mums, will share information and answer questions about motherhood.
Women’s Health Queensland Wide Inc (Women’s Health) Education Team Leader, Belinda Kippen said these private and confidential health talks gave women the opportunity to get ‘the facts’ and have any myths dispelled.
While in Cloncurry, Ms Kippen will address the QCWA northern region delegates on April 30 about the Midwife Check-in program.
Pregnant women and new mums who would like to register for the Midwife Check-in can call 1800 017 676 or can email HIL@womhealth.org.au.
