Industry waits on Indonesian cattle import permits

Third quarter cattle import quotas plunged to 50,000 head last year from Australia to Indonesia - down from 250,000 in the second quarter of 2015 - but a fourth monthly system was adopted for this year to try and increase market stability.

SPECULATION suggests the Indonesian government is set to announce 250,000 head of live cattle import permits from Australia for the next trimester.
