The club's website on Wednesday afternoon announced that 30-year-old former Brisbane Lions player Rishitelli had partially dislocated his shoulder after North Melbourne's Andrew Swallow brought him down in a marking contest during their match on Saturday night.
The Suns said the veteran was still waiting on the results of scans and the club did not yet know the severity of his injury.
Fellow midfielder Prestia was sick last weekend and this week is suffering from a "shoulder niggle".
The Suns face the Cats in Geelong on Saturday night, a difficult task for a team already missing David Swallow and Jaeger O'Meara with knee injuries and Steven May suspended.
