The high flying GWS Giants have been dealt a double injury blow, with veteran midfielder Ryan Griffen and gun forward Devon Smith to both miss several weeks due to injury.

Smith will undergo surgery on his knee and is expected to miss between 8-10 weeks, after missing two of the last three weeks due to ongoing problems.
Griffen, meantime, will miss 5-6 weeks with a back injury that forced him to be a late withdrawal from the weekend's win over Hawthorn.
Greater Western Sydney's head of athletic performance David Joyce told the club website that surgery was the best option for Smith.
"We consulted with a specialist late last week and after weighing up a number of options in recent days, the decision has been made to tidy up some of the cartilage in his knee that has been causing discomfort.
In a further injury blow, Will Hoskin-Elliott strained his quad while playing in the NEAFL on the weekend and he's also expected to miss at least a month.
