Raising money for the North West Queensland Mental Health Network, Renaee said the event is sure to be a sell out, with only 20 tickets left for sale.
“I am super excited coming up to the event, the tickets have been on sale for a number of months now and has been well received from the community and I am happy they have almost sold out,” she said.
“I wanted to host this event as I thought it would be nice for people to take out their mothers, grandmothers and daughters for morning tea.
“It have said throughout my whole Queen Quest journey, it is about connecting people to community and I think this is what good mental health is all about.”
Local performer, Sabrina Gasio, will be performing a wide array of music from country, pop, rock and classics throughout the morning to keep the guests entertained.
A multi draw raffle of towels, beauty products and vouchers will also be available for purchase at the event.
“I think we are in for a good day. This event has been the most well received, I think it is because I have been advertising this for a while and with Mother’s Day coming up it makes a great event. Advertising time pushed for people to really have an interest in the event.
Renaee said she was very passionate about her chosen charity.
“I am very passionate about the well-being of people in the community, especially because this is where I live,” she said.
“It is just nice to give some form of contribution to the city you live in.
“I want to raise awareness and stamp out the stigma around mental health issues. Good mental health is everyone’s business.”
Terrace Gardens are catering for the event with a range of buffet treats, sweets and savories.
The event will be held on Saturday May 7 from 10am to noon and tickets are $50 per person.
Tickets can be purchased from Anglicare on Miles Street or contact Renaee Gattera on 0423 684 804 for more information or to secure your ticket.
