BRISBANE 
Biding time: If Dayne Beams returns this weekend, the likelihood of Ben Keays getting ample midfield time is diminished. We may be looking at a dual position change.

CARLTON
Surprising: If you drafted Ed Curnow as a depth midfielder in February or March, you ought to be smiling now. He had an average draft position near 200, but has reached the ton in four of his past five weeks.

COLLINGWOOD
Worth the wait: It'll need a few more weeks, but Josh Smith is all but a lock to gain defender status. Add in the fact he's scored 83 and 97 in his first two AFL games, and you have the prototype for a genuine game-winner down the track.

ESSENDON
Top up: If Matt Dea was a starting Ultimate Footy defender a fortnight ago, he is certainly not any more.

FREMANTLE
Wishing for miracles: David Mundy's year has been ruined by form and injury, but those coaches hoping for defensive status may be left disappointed.

GEELONG
Under the radar: If we have forgotten one man, who we had already forgotten time and time again, it's Daniel Menzel. He hasn't missed a beat since returning, becoming one of the biggest improvers of the season … and we hadn't paid one ounce of attention.

GOLD COAST
Skyscraper: If Tom Nicholls misses out again this weekend, it means Daniel Currie will tackle the in-form Max Gawn. Another average score awaits.

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY
Classy: If there was ever any doubt over the talent on the GWS list, knowing that the 12 highest scorers from last weekend's game were all Giants paints a fine picture.

HAWTHORN
Proving grounds: With Luke Hodge expecting to miss six weeks through injury, then surely it's time for Taylor Duryea or Daniel Howe to show their worth in the season proper. The NAB Challenge was a long time ago.

MELBOURNE
Ultimatum: If you had said before round one that Jack Watts would be better than James Aish in Ultimate Footy this year, a few eyebrows would have been raised. In hindsight, it is a good call, and a good call the Footy Prophet made.

NORTH MELBOURNE
No slowing down: If you thought the Hunch Report would go one week without mentioning Jarrad Waite, you're wrong. After Jeremy Cameron and Jesse Hogan both kicked a handful against the Saints, there looks to be no stopping the Waite express in round seven.

PORT ADELAIDE
Dwarfed: As Matthew Lobbe was injured in the SANFL, youngster Dougal Howard will be thrown into the ruck this week … against Stefan Martin. Good luck.

RICHMOND
Changing tides: If Kane Lambert's first fortnight of the season was anything to go by, he was due for a breakout. If his past fortnight is anything to go by, he is barely deserving of a spot in any squad. Now injured, it's time to go.

ST KILDA
Out of form: Two weeks ago it was written that we were wrong to neglect Leigh Montagna's aptitude to score and be a top-five forward. Since then, he has scores of 68 and 76, so perhaps we were right all along.

SYDNEY
Forgotten man: If Sydney's midfield can get any better, Kieran Jack can up his average by four points. The rise of Parker, Hannebery and Mitchell has left Jack in the dark.

WEST COAST
Cashing in: After scoring healthily last weekend, it's the perfect time to trade Mark LeCras, especially if his score inconsistency is headache-inducing.

WESTERN BULLDOGS
Spoilt for choice: The number of genuine studs in the Bulldogs team is astonishing. With nine players averaging upwards of 90, Ultimate Footy coaches have been spoilt for choice.
