Parramatta Eels salary cap crisis: Nathan Peats was the convenient fall guy

Did Parramatta have to part company with Nathan Peats? Or was he hand-picked as the man they wanted to go? The more this column hears about the deal, the more it appears Peats was the fall guy. And it may explain why Peats was extra edgy when I spoke to him during the week. "It's time for egos to be put aside and people who really love the club to get a role in running the place," he said.
