Hawera-born-and-raised Issac Luke returns to the starting hooker's role for his Taranaki homecoming at New Plymouth's Yarrow Stadium. After being slated to return in round 12 or 13, Jeff Lima is a confirmed to make an early return for the Raiders after missing the last six games with a broken hand. The Green Machine will have to wait another week for the return of veteran Sia Soliola, despite being cleared to return from a broken arm. Soliola remained in Canberra with his wife Gemmah, who is due to have the couple's second child this week. Shaun Fensom failed to prove his fitness after he picked up a shoulder injury putting pressure on a Benji Marshall kick in last week's loss.
The Sharks and Sea Eagles should be 1-17 as they contest the Steve Rogers Memorial Trophy. Matt Prior (knee) is the only injury concern for the high-flying Sharks and is expected back in a fortnight. Brett Stewart (hamstring) and Apisai Koroisau (ribs) are scheduled back after Manly's bye next week.
