In round five the Raiders upset the Bulldogs with a dominant 22-8 win at their spiritual home, when their pack steamrolled their more fancied rivals.

Despite losing key play Iosia Soliola to a broken arm midway through the game, the Raiders gained 323 more metres and the Bulldogs missed 27 tackles to the Raiders 13 in their best defensive effort of the year.

Although the Raiders will be without Josh Papalii through Queensland Origin duty, Canterbury forwards David Klemmer and Josh Jackson will miss the clash after being selected for the Blues.

Raiders hitman Paul Vaughan is expecting a physical Bulldogs side to arrive in Canberra seeking revenge.

"Every game in the middle is tough, it's never different. They'll be looking to come down here in our backyard and try and get the win. It's going to be a massive forward battle for us," Vaughan said.

"They were embarrassed in front of their home crowd at Belmore. We challenged ourselves to get over their forwards and we did that day, we're expecting to do the same thing again and it's going to be a tough game."

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart said the Bulldogs would have the April game in the back of their mind.

"They'll be out to even up the score," he said. "It's a big game again."

Canberra Stadium will welcome back two of the Raiders most experienced players on Sunday, with Soliola in the starting line-up and Jeff Lima on the bench.

Lima is bracing for an intense onslaught in the opening exchanges but is confident the Raiders can withstand it.

"There's a lot of talk about them coming down to do a big job on us but we're not worried about them," he said.

"All we're worried about is doing our own job. For a young team we have a lot of improvement in us."
