He earned his first starting role in the green and gold this month, but one former Maroon believes Josh Papalii should have to wait before he does likewise for his state.

The Canberra Raiders back rower was named on the bench when the Queensland side for Origin I was announced on Tuesday night.
It is a role he has filled in his four games for the Maroons thus far, and he scored a try in a record 52-6 win in last year's series decider.
Papalii was dumped from the side after a quiet showing in Origin 1, 2014, but his strong form was rewarded when named as a replacement for the injured Josh Maguire in Origin III last year.
He has enjoyed the best start to a season of his career and started at left back row in the Kangaroos' 16-0 win over New Zealand this month.
But former Maroon Scott Sattler subscribes to the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' theory, adamant Papalii can have his biggest impact for Queensland if injected into the game late in the first half.
"You wouldn't want to mix too much up from what worked in game three last year, when Papa came off the bench," Sattler said.
"At the moment that's where he's at from an Origin perspective because he is so brutal when he comes off the bench.
"When you face that first onslaught from Queensland and you look to the sideline and a bloke like Papalii is about to come on, you know it's going to continue."
Kevin Walters handed back row starts to Sam Thaiday, Matt Gillett and Corey Parker in his first match in charge of Queensland, with Papalii, Aidan Guerra and McGuire the bench forwards.
Papalii's ability to also play prop has possibly stopped Walters promoting him to the starting line-up.
"Papalii's a guy who would start in any other scenario, if Matt Gillett goes down tomorrow you know he's the perfect fit," Sattler said.
"Coming off the bench for now is his best position, but I wouldn't bat an eyelid if Kevvie picked him in the starting side.
"To have the complete Broncos back row in Thaiday, Parker and Gillett in the side is a wonderful position to be in."
Papalii will miss the Canberra Raiders' home clash against Canterbury on Sunday, but his absence will be compensated by the return of Sia Soliola from a broken arm.
Lock Shaun Fensom is also considered a chance to be named in the side on Tuesday after he missed last week's win in New Zealand with a shoulder problem.
