Kuridrani was named in the Wallabies' 39-man squad on Thursday as coach Michael Cheika narrows his plans for the three-Test series in June.

Injuries to Kurtley Beale and Matt Toomua have opened the door for Cheika to rejig his backline combinations and Israel Folau looms as a contender for Kuridrani's No.13 spot.

Kuridrani has played every minute of every game for the Brumbies this season and has had a stranglehold on the outside centre position since making his international debut in 2013, playing all of his 31 Tests in the same position.

But Cheika has flagged a potential beefed-up midfield by shifting Kuridrani to inside centre and Folau to outside centre.

That doesn't faze Fijian-born Kuridrani, even thohg he's never played as a No.12 in his career.

"I don't really care where I move to as long as I'm playing, I'll be happy," Kuridrani said.

"It's exciting having that threat in the midfield of [big centres] but at the end of the day it's up to the coaches who they want to pick.

"I haven't really played at inside centre, but I have defended at No.12. I'll just keep doing what I do and at the end of the day, the coaches will decide.

"For me, I'm just trying to improve on my rugby and let the rest sort itself out."

Former Brumbies and Wallabies hooker Marco Caputo presented Kuridrani with a $1000 cheque to donate to Fiji to help the island nation recover after Cyclone Winston hit earlier this year.

Kuridrani and fellow Fijian Henry Speight have raised almost $30,000 to help rebuild their home country with the help of Brumbies fans and sponsors.

Caputo donated money from tips at the cafe he owns, Piccolo, at the University of Canberra.

Caputo is a former Brumbies and Leinster assistant coach, but will move his rugby career to Japan in the coming months to start as the forwards mentor for the Kobelco Steelers.

The Brumbies play a historic match against Super Rugby newcomers the Japan Sunwolves at Canberra Stadium on Saturday night – a game many tip them to win easily.

But Caputo warned the Sunwolves would be no pushovers after watching the players develop in their Super Rugby initiation.

"[The Steelers] have about four or five players in the Sunwolves group ... it's an emerging team and the introduction of the Sunwolves has raised the profile of rugby [in Japan]," Caputo said.

The Brumbies have plenty of links to Japanese rugby. They recruited Scott Fardy and Josh Mann-Rea when they were unknown players in Japan, Christian Lealiifano will join Suntory later this year and coach Stephen Larkham finished his playing days in Japan.

Australian players regularly link with Japanese Top League clubs to supplement their earnings in the Super Rugby off-season, and Caputo said teams can forge relationships rather than competing for the same talent by out-bidding each other.

The Steelers are understood to be working on a deal that could see Quade Cooper playing in Japan before returning to Australian rugby.

"There's an opportunity for players to go to Japan and do well financially," Caputo said.

"We're talking to a couple of Australian-based players ... it only helps raise the profile of rugby in Japan and players to get some more money rather than playing in Europe [and missing out on Super Rugby]."

The Brumbies are set to make a handful of changes to their line-up to play the Sunwolves, but Kuridrani said they would not be caught off guard.

"This weekend is a big weekend and we're looking forward to playing the Sunwolves," Kuridrani said.

"The Sunwolves are a very dangerous team in unstructured stuff so we need to tighten up."
