The Kennedy Electorate will be an interesting one to watch in this election, as it was last time around when the vote of the incumbent was reduced by 16.5 per cent (AEC figures).
There is a choice of “same old, same old” - noise, bluster, outrageous claims and fabrication of fictitious achievements by KAP, a unions backed ALP candidate who will be controlled by the union movement, or the LNP’s fresh, intelligent proven negotiator and leader who has worked in a consultancy firm representing electricity consumers in their fight to reduce inflated electricity costs, in the area of mental health and suicide prevention and mining development – among other State and National organisations, including Canegrowers.
What a breath of fresh air to hear logical answers delivered in a courteous manner, by someone who is well acquainted with matters of deep concern to the Constituents of Kennedy, as he too is a Kennedy resident, having grown up in the Lower Herbert region and attended primary and secondary school in Ingham prior to University.
Vote Jonathan Pavetto for a confident, capable achiever to represent us in Canberra.

IT IS disturbing to learn of details regarding past and present air quality pollution levels in the city of Mount Isa.
Recent reports have revealed that in January this year sulphur dioxide emissions from the Mount Isa Mines smelter have exceeded the national standards hourly rates on four separate occasions.
Glencore, the owner of the mines complex, can not say when a report on air pollution levels will be released, despite the fact it is now five years overdue.
A Freedom Of Information request has been denied and concerns are now being raised that the Sustainable Minerals Institute who compiled the report, may not be totally independent.
Beside the presence of sulphur dioxide in the air, which is known to cause or exacerbate respiratory illnesses, research has also shown high levels of lead in soil samples from the city.
Approximately 11 per cent of resident children have been found to show high levels of lead in their bloodstream.
Lead is known to increase the risk of brain damage in children, and other known contaminants such as arsenic, cadmium and mercury are considered to be threatening to the health of all residents.
While the Mount Isa Mines complex is the major employer in the region and contributes around $1 billion in royalties to the Government it is still incumbent on Glencore to consider the health and wellbeing of all the 20,000 plus residents of the city.
More stringent measures to control and abate toxic emissions are required as a matter of urgency.

(THE psychics) are good, I went to them last year and they kept telling me that my deceased family were telling me to leave, go to the coast, big flood coming.
Guess where I am now? Charters Towers, because of other reasons.
But it just sort of worked that we had to leave town.
