The Mount Isa mean maximum temp for May was 30.9 degrees which was three degrees above average. The highest maximum temperature was 37.8 degrees on May 2, breaking the Mount Isa record for May.
The minimum mean temperature was 16.4 degrees which was 2.6 degrees above average.The lowest minimum temperature was 7.8 degrees on May 14.
Although there was so record breaking rainfall, other record breakers in the area include the highest maximum day in Queensland was at Lake Julius with a record of 38.5 degrees.
The record highest maximum temperature was also broken in Richmond with 37.8 degrees and Camooweal with 38.4.
The highest minimum temperature (overnight temperature) was broken in Cloncurry with 26.3 degrees on May 9.
