We're nearly halfway through the season and it is clear which players are fantasy champions this season, and which ones have failed to deliver. With Saturday night's matches looking to be fantasy goldmines, round 11 looks to be a very relevant round for the lesser teams.

Brendon Goddard is this week's top defensive option, moving Heath Shaw down to second place. Goddard is going to Perth with the Bombers, as they take on the winless Fremantle Dockers, who are conceding plenty of fantasy points. The 31-year-old had 35 disposals, seven clearances and six tackles against the Dockers last season, and should continue his red hot form against them this week. Shaw drops down to second with the opposition beginning to tag him. Against the Cats in Geelong, he should still do fairly well.
Sam Docherty is now a regular in the top five given his remarkable performances over the first 10 rounds of the season. He is a genuine star and gets midfield-like numbers in defence. The bolter this week is James Kelly, who is remarkably putting up career-best numbers as a 32-year-old top-up player for Essendon. Kelly has had a consistent season, which should also continue against the Dockers.
The midfield rankings have a shade of red and white in them this week, as the Swans take on the hapless Suns at Metricon Stadium. Daniel Hannebery could be leading the Brownlow and has the opportunity to get another three votes this week. Tom Mitchell, fresh off his best performance in a long time, is our second-ranked midfielder for the week. While he may tag Gary Ablett, he still has the ability to collect plenty of the ball himself.
Lachie Neale is third in the midfield rankings this week, having been Fremantle's best player in 2016. He'll keep his good form up. Bryce Gibbs has been stunning in all of Carlton's wins this season and deserves to be fourth in this week's rankings. Facing a struggling Brisbane Lions team in Melbourne this week, Gibbs could have another huge match.
It's almost not worth mentioning Todd Goldstein in the ruck rankings, except for the fact there is some doubt regarding his fitness. Watch for the teams. Having found a bit of form against Port Adelaide last week, Max Gawn returns to No.2 in the rankings, against the duo of Ben McEvoy and Jon Ceglar. Also keep an eye on the third-ranked Kurt Tippett, who comes up against the Suns. Expect him to push forward and kick goals.
Just the one change for the top five forwards this week, with Luke Dahlhaus moving into fifth place at the expense of Dayne Zorko. Dahlhaus' form has been underrated, and his form at Etihad Stadium has been exceptional in 2016.
While the Saints face a tough trip to Adelaide, Leigh Montagna and Nick Riewoldt are still ranked first and third respectively. The veterans continue to perform at an unbelievably high level and have been elite fantasy players so far in 2016. No team can stop them from posting 100+ scores on a weekly basis.
