After raffles held by Molly Lancashire from Molly’s Babies Room at the Baby and Toddler Expo, Molly delivered a breastfeeding chair to maternity on Tuesday June 7.
Molly donated the chair alongside with some money left over towards a second chair.
North West Hospital and Health Service midwifery manager, Kerry Owens, said they would be able to purchase the second chair due to the gold coin donations given by attendees at the door.
“The Maternity unit was presented with $560 in coins of which $300 will go to the purchase of the second breastfeeding chair,” she said.
“These chairs are so comfortable I would like one in my office. The rest will be to purchase ipod docks, oil burners and essential oils for the birth suites.”
Molly said she was happy to donate a chair, to assist present and future mothers in Mount Isa attend to their baby’s needs.
