The Greens candidate Valerie Weier, sealed the first spot on the ballot followed by Family First Party Donna Maree Gallehawk in second, ALP’s Norm Jacobsen in third, KAP’s Bob Katter in fourth and LNP candidate Jonathan Pavetto in the final slot.
Labor man Norm Jacobsen said he did not feel the ballot draw will affect the results of the election.
“I feel people have enough common sense not to vote from top to bottom of the ballot,” Mr Jacobsen said.
“They will vote for who they feel will represent them the best.”
The LNP’s Jonathan Pavetto was unconcerned about being last on the ballot and said there was no one better to represent Kennedy electorate than the LNP.
“I am excited that my name is on the ballot paper,” Mr Pavetto.
I am not at all concerned about my name being on the bottom because LNP is the only party that has the best vision for Queensland.
“I encouraging everyone to vote for LNP if they want to develop Queensland.”
Bob Katter, who has held the seat since 1993, refused to be drawn on the ballot draw and said he believed KAP has the experience to continue to develop Queensland.
Greens’ candidate Valerie Weier is from Malanda on the Atherton Tablelands while Family First’s Donna Gallehawk was a late addition to the ballot and is from the Rockhampton area.
The three main candidates, Mr Katter, Mr Jacobsen and Mr Pavetto have been travelling and attending many events in the Kennedy electorate, attending Cattlemen’s Dinner in Cloncurry, Cloncurry Show, Richmond Field Days and races, Normanton Show and rodeo as well as local meet and greets.
Pre-poll voting will open in Mount Isa on Tuesday June 14 and court houses around the Kennedy electorate on June 22.
The election will be held on Saturday, July 2.
