Graham was hit with a grade one offence for his tackle on Johnathan Thurston on Monday night, but with loading from a previous charge, even an early guilty plea would see him banned from the match.

Graham will still fly to Coffs Harbour with the NSW squad on Tuesday morning, but will return on Wednesday to front the judiciary.

Graham was placed on report after collecting North Queensland playmaker Thurston high in the Sharks' 13-10 win.

NSW coach Laurie Daley, speaking before Graham was charged, said they had yet to discuss a contingency plan if the Cronulla back-rower was charged, but they had options.

"The options will be the same as what we had coming into this game - Birdy [Greg Bird] on the left edge, Friz [Tyson Frizell] on the bench or the left edge, or Hoffy [Ryan Hoffman], something like that," Daley said.

Graham is the only change to the squad after Roosters forward Boyd Cordner was ruled out with injury.

Blues prop Aaron Woods was excited about the prospect of packing down with Graham at Suncorp Stadium.

"He's been outstanding, he's been there or thereabouts the last few years," Woods said.

"It's a credit to how hard he's worked, he's been the backbone of the Cronulla side and why they are going so good. He's a tough guy, been playing first grade since he was 17.

"It's no real shock to him now. It will be great to see him in the sky blue jersey."

Daley said he was keen to retain faith in the side that restricted Queensland to just one try at ANZ Stadium.

"It's important we do and there are a number of reasons," Daley said.

"It provides continuity and there are a number of guys playing off Monday night, we're going to have less training sessions this camp.

"It's important we get as many people from game one here as we could, which will help in our prep. We should be better in game II."
