Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest Entrant Sarah Brisbane fundraising for Paws, Hoofs and Claws, has announced that Arabian Nights will be held on Saturday 9 July, and that guests are set to be wowed by what will be on offer.
Ms Brisbane said the event has had years of planning behind it, and it promises to be a spectacular evening set under Mount Isa’s famous starry winter sky.
“Arabian Nights is an amazing idea created by Sue Carson, the president of Paws, Hoofs and Claws. Sue is renowned for creating unusual and spectacular events such as the ‘Granite on Fire’ outback opera held several years ago which was a huge success,” Ms Brisbane said
“We are planning a fantastic evening for our guests to give them an authentic Arabian Nights experience, complete with professional Belly Dancing entertainment, fortune tellers, henna tattooists, camels and more.”
“All this will be taking place in a fully decorated Bedouin style tent which will be erected in a secret desert location not too far away.”
As magic carpets are hard to come by in Mount Isa, guests will instead be transported to the secret location by coaches and will be treated to a professionally catered three course menu with a middle-eastern flavour to complement the Arabian Nights theme of the evening.
Paws, Hoofs and Claws President Sue Carson said she was excited to see her dream event become a reality.
“Nothing like this has ever been done before in Mount Isa, and we have an absolutely stunning night planned for those people lucky enough to get a ticket,” Ms Carson said.
“We know times are tough at the moment in Mount Isa, but we are confident that the uniqueness of this one-off event will result in it being a sell-out which would be a fantastic result for us.”
Tickets for the event are $120 and now on sale. Tickets can be purchased through Bella Duck, The Boss Shop, the Paws Hoofs and Claws website or by contacting Sarah Brisbane directly on 0439 430 780.
