A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed earlier today one male passenger in his 20s was in a critical condition and had been airlifted to Townsville Base Hospital.
QAS said the other two passengers in the vehicle are now in Bowen Hospital.
One passenger made his own way to hospital after the crash, while the other, a man about 20-years-old, went home after the incident.
However, an ambulance was called to his residence just before 3pm, before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition complaining of pelvic, abdominal and chest pain.

The driver of a vehicle who hit a power pole near Bowen on Wednesday morning was on the run while his passenger remained in a critical condition in Townsville Base Hospital.
The incident happened on the corner of Flemington Road and Lower Don Road in Woodlands about 10am, when a vehicle collided with a power pole and brought down power lines.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot, police said.
A male passenger in his 20s was in a critical condition and had been airlifted to Townsville Base Hospital, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
EARLIER
Two separate crashes in north Queensland within the space of an hour have left one man in a critical condition, blocked the highway and knocked out power for hundreds of homes.
A man was taken to Bowen District Hospital in a critical condition after a vehicle hit a power pole about 10.10am in Bowen on the corner of Flemington Road and Lower Don Road.
A low-voltage power line came down and blocked the road, leaving about 400 customers without electricity.
Ergon Energy restored power about an hour later.
Just after 11am on the Bruce Highway, 20 kilometres south of Bowen, a two-vehicle accident blocked the highway in both directions.
A caravan was on its side and a man his 60s was being treated for chest pain and cuts to his legs.
The two other people involved in the incident did not require treatment.
The Bruce Highway re-opened just before 1pm.
