Brisbane's King George Square looked more like a chilly European capital at Christmas as the Winter Festival brought snow and ice to Queenslanders.

The wintery celebration, which will run until July 10, includes snow and ice skating as well as live music, interactive games and professional ice skating performances.
The festival, which opened on June 17, is held in support of young Australians with high care needs, giving them an opportunity to experience real powder snow and ice skating.
