A MAN attacked his ex’s partner after stalking him after a prolonged period of time, the Mount Isa Magistrates Court heard on Monday.

Marc Andrew Robert Stone, 30, struck the victim several times in the Mount Isa Mines carpark on December 11, 2015.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Martin Longhurst said that Stone punched the victim several times in the face, then attacked him on the ground with punches and kicks.
Injuries included swelling to the face and cuts to the back and the neck.
Stone pleaded guilty to unlawful stalking, assault occasioning bodily harm, breach of a domestic violence order, and obstructing police.
Stone was sentenced to nine months imprisonment but was granted parole that day, having served 90 days in custody.
He was placed on a two year probation order.
