A 25-year-old driver high on drugs evaded police, crashed into another vehicle and was eventually arrested in his ute "smoking an unknown substance from a glass pipe", police allege.

The Logan man was accused of running a red light and refusing to stop for police after officers spotted him driving dangerously in Logan about 2.30pm Wednesday.
Police gave up the chase after trying to stop the vehicle on the Logan Motorway.
A police spokesman said officers had pulled off the motorway and were reporting the incident when they saw the man come the wrong way back down an off-ramp and crash into another vehicle.
The Mount Warren Park man then allegedly fled again, driving back along the motorway.
About 3.15pm, police spotted the car again in Wishart, where they allegedly found the man "smoking an unknown substance from a glass pipe".
Officers allegedly found cannabis and cash suspected of being drug proceeds in the car but the spokesman couldn't say how much was there.
The man was charged with several offences including dangerous driving while affected by drugs, failing to stop for police, obstructing police and possessing dangerous drugs.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for a medical check up before spending the night at the Beenleigh Watchhouse, to appear in court on Thursday morning.
