The upcoming country and western star is performing at outback pubs and entertainment venues across four states including New South Wales, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
She will be playing at gigs in Camooweal and Cloncurry next month.
Sarah Leete is an accomplished singer/songwriter from North West NSW who performs covers and captivates audiences with her original material locally and interstate.
Since picking up a guitar at the age of 14, Sarah and has been writing her own music.
Teaching herself to play guitar, and with very little professional vocal training, her strong ability in both performance and the craft of song writing made it clear she is one talented young lady.
Her attitude is “why sing someone else’s songs they have already heard, when you yourself have a story to tell.”
Moving from her home on the Central Coast to start a life near Tamworth, NSW, has seen a strong country influence in her writing style.
After winning the North West Battle of the Bands as a solo performer in 2013, Sarah’s performances have frequented local pubs, clubs and events.
Performing a variety of cover songs, her real passion is to perform her own music, which has been greatly received at many venues.
Sarah won the 2015 Moree Superstar Competition performing her original material.
And because of this was chosen for a scholarship to the 2016 CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth.
Sarah plays the Post Office Hotel in Camooweal on Thursday, July 7 and the Leichhardt Hotel in Cloncurry on Friday, July 8.
Sarah said she was excited to play country venues in the outback.
“It is important for me to bring live music to towns that may be affected by drought,” she said.
“I want to give the community a reason to come together and have a good time.”
