Neale, 23, has been arguably the Dockers' best player this season, but has been the subject of speculation about a possible move back to his native South Australia.

However the Dockers announced on Saturday that Neale had signed a new three-year deal.

Fremantle list manager Brad Lloyd said the club was rapt to keep Neale.

"Lachie has been an important player for the football club for a number of years now," Lloyd said.

"His application to his football was evident from the day he arrived and he has steadily improved to become a strong performer on a weekly basis.

"We are very happy to see Lachie extend his contract with the club."

Neale hurt his shoulder in Friday night's loss to Collingwood, but coach Ross Lyon said post-match the injury was likely just a "stinger."
