But Parkside A proved to be the better team over Atlas A, coming out ahead by one goal.
The result was 2-1 in favour of Parkside.
Both teams are at the top of the ladder, but the association’s president Jason Howard said that although Parkside now had more wins, Atlas A were still two goals ahead in the total amount scored throughout the season.
Howard was also Parkside’s goalkeeper during the match.
He anticipated before the match that his team would be the more dominant side, judging from the previous bout which Atlas played more defensively.
But what surprised the goalkeeper was the number of saves he had to make.
“They (Atlas) played a really good attacking game, which we were not expecting,” Howard said.
“We had to rearrange how we set up to counter-attack.”
