Outback at Isa’s Dirty Little Secrets photo competition drew great interest with over 126 entries. All photos were judged on the content of the photo and the caption.
Michael Reader captured the winning photo for the grand prize of a double swag.
The winning photo featured a four-wheel-drive crossing through water out at the junction. The caption included ‘Outback Speed Bump’.
Mr Reader said he was amazed that his photo would be used to help build tourism in Mount Isa.
“There is so much to do in Mount Isa. If it is going out on a station or four-wheel-driving, we definitely don’t have a shortage of space,” he said.
“Mount Isa had received a few days of rain, so we thought we would go and play in the mud and that’s when i took the photo.”
Outback at Isa hope to apply for a tourism award and to host another competition in the near future.
