Learning to let go of things and not sweat the small stuff can be a very freeing experience.
Society, media, work, family and friends place pressure on us to live our everyday lives. Sometimes getting through the day without going crazy can be a difficult task.
After spending so much time within the last four years always training, working towards the next race or goal, studying and constantly learning, I have taken time out to chill, not just letting the body take a rest, but my mind too.
I decided to limit myself from all social media and television.
Not only do I find I have more time and have become a lot more productive, I found myself connecting to friends and family on a deeper level.
The negativity that flows through the media, feed our brains full of mindless junk.
Limiting outside influences is a very powerful step to take back your mind and your soul.
Take some steps towards letting stuff go, take up the challenge and see how it effects your mind and overall happiness
1. Turn off the Television. It will enable you take control of your surroundings and you will enjoy some peace and quiet.
2. Limit your time on social media, or go one-step further and see if you can go without it for a week. Try it and see how much free time and what an impact it actually will have on your life.
3. Look around and see what you are attached too. What items can you remove from your life? Ask yourself, in the last 12 months have I used it or worn it? Do you love it? Does it make you feel good? If not move it on set it free. It is an amazing feeling when you free yourself from stuff.
4. Ask yourself on a regular basis “whats really important” and “what’s the worst that can happen” those questions alone make you really think about the way you look at life and what is stopping you.
Go out of your way to make someone’s day. Do whats more important to you and focus on the present. It is good for your mind and and is very liberating for your soul. Go to Trines Facebook page The Active Chef with Trine Gall for more information on living a fun and healthy life.
