The NSW Blues forwards are planning a brutal retaliation to McGuire's taunts on social media after game two as Andrew Fifita declared the Queensland prop was "dominated by us" and David Klemmer described him as an "attention seeker".

In what is likely to add plenty of feeling in Wednesday night's dead rubber, Fifita has taken aim at McGuire for a tweet he sent out after game two saying "winners have parties, losers have meetings".

The Blues' super sub, who was also on the receiving end of a spiteful spray from Queensland players – including retiring veteran Corey Parker – has stored the Maroons' sledging in his memory bank and plans to use it as motivation at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.

"I can use that as a bit of motivation now," Fifita said. "I'll tell the boys about it, too.

"It just comes down to a few of us standing tall and just being ready for the match-up. Josh McGuire can say all he wants, to be honest. If we get a bite back, we get a bite back but, at the end of the day, he didn't get one fast play the ball and was dominated by us in game two. I'm not scared of him and I'm not scared of anyone in his team."

Fifita was filthy with the unsportsmanlike behaviour of the Maroons, who celebrated the series triumph by berating Fifita and his Blues teammates.

"The only thing that's going to drive me is the look on their faces after the game," Fifita said.

"As heartbreaking as it was, we had plenty of opportunities that we didn't capitalise on. But the look on their faces, especially when the hooter went, that's my motivation to get out there and put a bit of remembrance back into it."

NSW prop Klemmer, who had an altercation with Parker in the last series, also criticised McGuire for his tweet.

"I think he got a bit too excited," Klemmer said.

"But a couple of NSW supporters got stuck into him and hammered him. If he thinks that's the right thing to say then so be it. It's a tricky one. He might get some special attention from some of the boys but I think most of them aren't too worried about him. He wants to be the attention seeker but he's not going to get [it] ... or he might get it"

Queensland coach Kevin Walters addressed the issue with McGuire and told the prop to expect a hammering as a result of his actions.

"We've had a little chat," Walters said. "He's probably aware of what's coming his way.

"Then again Josh is a big boy and can handle himself quite well. You can understand the angst it's caused among NSW. But it is Origin and that's what brings the best out in the players, that passion for your state.

"Add into that the passion of the NSW fans. So, when Josh McGuire runs out, I'm thinking there's going to be a lot of booing going on. He'll know that. He'll get into it. He'll get belted and he'll get belted again but he'll just have to keep going."
