About 11.50pm Saturday, two men armed with a sawn-off shotgun and tomahawk fled a licensed premises on Kingston Road in Underwood with a sum of cash after threatening a male employee.

They fled in a dark blue Ford sedan which was located damaged in a nearby underground carpark about 12.30am.

Police were then called to the intersection of St Andrews Terrace and Beenleigh Road at Kuraby following a traffic crash, after which a bystander was assaulted.

They located a black Toyota sedan with significant damage, which had been stolen by the robbers from Ellis Place, Underwood. The men had fled the scene.

​In a separate incident, two Eagleby residents were threatened with a handgun on Saturday night.

About 10.55pm, a man armed with a handgun confronted a woman at a Paddington Lane home and demanded car keys. The woman hid inside her house before a man chased the would-be thief away.

A short time later a man armed with a handgun forced entry into a residence on Dion Drive and confronted a 79-year-old man, stealing his wallet and car keys. He left in a stolen white Kia Rio sedan.

Police later saw the stolen car being driven dangerously, before crashing through a fence on Rinto Drive. It was found abandoned at Roslyn Street residence about 11.30pm.

The offender is described as aged in his late teens to early twenties, approximately 165cm tall with a slim build.

Investigations are continuing.
