In the video posted on social media, the officer is seen walking across the court on which the duo are practising while Tomic and the Serbian continue to hit.

He repeatedly asks them to "knock it off now" and leave the court due to incoming bad weather, but meets resistance when the pair point out it is not yet raining.



They argue for approximately a minute, while Tomic becomes agitated with the official after he was told it didn't matter if it wasn't raining at the time.

"Why are you getting so close to me," the frustrated Australian asked.

The pair both appear to leave the court eventually, still somewhat bemused at the the situation.

Troicki added his name to Wimbledon's hall of shame recently after he blew his top at umpire Damiano Torella following an overrule in the dying seconds of his second-round defeat by Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

"No way, look at it," the Serbian 27th seed ranted at the official before angrily belting the ball outside court 17 and into the grounds of the All England Club. "Worst umpire ever in the world. What are you doing? Did you see the ball? You're so bad," he added gesturing wildly with his arms.

"Do you know what you did? Do you know what you did? Do you know what you did?" Troicki said with his voice rising with each question as he wagged his index finger at Torella. "You're horrible."

Tomic had better luck in the Washington tournament, winning through to the third round of the Citi Open in Washington, beating Donald Young of the United States in straight sets.

But the news wasn't so good for fellow Australians James Duckworth and John Millman, who were each beaten in the second round.

Tomic, the No.3 seed, was forced to fight through a first set tiebreak, after dropping serve when up 5-4 in the opening set, before running out a 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 winner. He sent down 12 aces in the win, and rolled through the second set where he twice broke Young's serve.

Tomic will face Ivo Karlovic - who he holds a 2-1 win/loss record over - in the third round after the towering Croatian recorded a 6-3 7-6 (7-4) win over American Brian Baker.

Duckworth struggled to handle big-serving American John Isner, winning just nine points on return in the 6-3 6-4 loss.No.1 seed Isner banged down 14 aces in the win, and dropped just three points on his first serve as he closed out the straight sets victory. He'll now face Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis in the third round, after Baghdatis breezed past Millman in straight sets 6-2 6-4.Isner joins fellow seeded players Steve Johnson, Borna Coric, Gael Monfils, Alexander Zverev, Benoit Paire and Gilles Muller in the third round after they all enjoyed straight sets wins on the day.

Not so lucky was South African ninth seed Kevin Anderson, who fell 5-7 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to Tunisian Malek Jaziri in a two-and-a-half hour battle.

Also exiting the tournament was Troicki, who was humbled by American qualifier Ryan Harrison 7-6 (7-4) 6-4.

For world No.158 Harrison - who is still only 24 and was once considered a future star of American tennis - the win was sweet relief, especially as he only converted three of 22 break points.

"When you're in a situation like I'm in - that you haven't won a ton of matches - it seems like it's tough to convert on opportunities. And it's easy to get discouraged. You miss your first couple, and you feel like you've lost the match," he said.
