Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest entrant, Chelsea Beckmann, dazzled 82 locals at her Gatsby Cocktail Night on Saturday making it her biggest fundraiser.
Ms Beckmann said the Gatsby event was her biggest event set-up and patron wise.
“I loved that my last fundraising effort was my biggest and most glamorous event,” she said.
“If I could have been born in the 20's I would! I love the music, the fashion and the outrageous parties.
“We had perfect weather, amazing food, entertainment and everyone looked so great all dressed in theme.
“The feedback has been wonderful by everyone who attended and all of my volunteers.”
Entertainment throughout the night included Sabella from Six Foot Circus doing an aerial silk performance, dancers from the Mount Isa School of Dance, a local string orchestra, Images by Kate Glover photo booth, a solo guitar and singing performance by Jeffrey Rogers and then DJ Richo for anyone who wanted to dance the night away.
“The dance floor was well attended throughout the evening and it was even better that everyone put a lot of time and effort into their outfits which really added to the atmosphere,” Ms Beckmann said.
This was Ms Beckmann’s final fundraising effort for her chosen charity, Ronald McDonald House North Queensland.
Ms Beckmann now looks forward to the Rodeo Ball.
“It's time for us Queen entrants to get dolled up and personally for me to have a great night with all that have been involved with making my journey a success,” she said.
“From my amazing volunteers, Rotarians, Mount Isa Rodeo staff and the Ronald McDonald House North Queensland.
“Whatever the result on the night, I am happy to have experienced this amazing journey, met so many people and have raised much needed funds for my chosen charity.”
