They did not find the man. Instead what they found was cannabis and two bongs, the Mount Isa Magistrates Court heard on Monday.
Kimmy Kay Rowland pleaded guilty to possessing used drug utensils, and possessing dangerous drugs.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Paige Barrow said police searched the property on Monday, July 18.
The cannabis amounted to less than a gram and the bongs were made from bottles, she said.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service solicitor Michael Corbin said the police had searched the property several times for the defendant’s partner.
He told the magistrates court that the partner was working for Gulf Savannah in Robinson River, Northern Territory.
Mr Corbin noted that he just told the open court where the partner could be located.
Then he said, “Police no longer need to attend the property.”
“After they completed the search police disposed of the gloves on the roof,” Mr Corbin said.
Rowland was fined $750.
