NQLGA President and Charters Towers Mayor Liz Schmidt said she was looking forward to the meeting. “It is imperative to continue to push the issues of the north and events such as these enable lobbying and networking opportunities so that our issues, both collective and individual, are crystalised and advanced,” she said.
Attendees will hear from speakers on education, health and infrastructure.
Cloncurry Shire Council Mayor Greg Campbell welcomes attendees to Cloncurry and hopes that they enjoy their time in the Outback.
“The NQLGA Conference is a great opportunity to showcase Cloncurry and discuss issues facing local governments in the North,” he said.
