Max escorts the nurses back to their quarters at night. “He insists on accompanying the nurses, and takes his responsibility for staff very seriously,” Julie said. However Julie said Max has no teeth and is rather timid so she’s not sure what use he would be in a crisis.
“He tends to just smile at people, rather than look menacing; and he’s proven not to be a good guard dog,” she says.
In spite of his occupational deficiencies, Max is still an object of affection to staff and patients alike.
