The 20-year-old driver and three residents escaped injury when the car smashed through the front wall of the Runcorn house and into the lounge room about 1.30am.

The driver was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries and no one else needed treatment.

Neighbour Debra Lillywhite said it wasn't the first time a car had ploughed into the home.

"This is the second time for this home. In the last instance a car went into my house too," she told Nine News.

"I feel someone will be killed and until that happens nothing will be done for the residents.

"I'm sad to see this. I was so scared tonight."

Melanie Viner said three vehicles had crashed into her home.

"I'm so angry - we're lucky that no-one has died, but that's just pure luck," she told the ABC.

The Susan Court home's residents had to be relocated from their home after the crash.

A police spokesman said the driver's blood alcohol level was not tested at the scene because of his injuries but he was getting blood tests in hospital.
