Fox Sports is set to trumpet its popular "press red" service for Hayne's return to the NRL in the Gold Coast Titans' pivotal clash with the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday.

Foxtel subscribers will be able to hit a button on their remote to access a channel that will have a camera focused on the one-time NFL convert for all 80 minutes of the first game of his second coming in rugby league.

The former San Francisco 49er and Olympic Games hopeful was already going to have his every move scrutinised in his first time in Titans colours, but Fox Sports plan to take it to a new level at Cbus Super Stadium.

Hayne trained with his new teammates on the holiday strip on Thursday having been accused of reneging on a "lifetime agreement" to return to former club Parramatta.

Hayne argued the Eels never tabled a formal offer before he signed a two-year deal with the Titans.

"The Hayne Plan cam will be on and it will fascinating to watch," said Queensland coach Kevin Walters, who will call the game for Fox Sports.

"I don't think it will take him too long at all and he's one of these guys that we've seen that adapts very quickly.

"You saw that during his career and it's not like he's been off fishing. He's been training and playing rugby – although a different game – but he's still got his positive, which is his running game.

"If he can get back to his 2014 form what he will do is improve the players around him. Guys like Ash Taylor and Tyrone Roberts ... he's going to help them enormously.

"He'll play to instructions as well as his own instinct and that's a dangerous commodity."

Hayne's guaranteed ratings bonanza will be a huge coup for Fox Sports, which will be the big beneficiaries with the rights to the Titans' five remaining regular season matches.

The Sunday 2pm game is traditionally one of the weaker timeslots for ratings of the eight matches each weekend, but a bumper audience is expected to tune in for Hayne's Titans bow.

Asked if Hayne's return could usurp a record audience for a similar game, Fox Sports' head of TV channels Gary Burns said: "I think that's definitely possible. We've got a reference point with Monday night's [golden point] game [against the Sharks], which had big numbers and for obvious reasons we think that might be exceeded on Sunday.

"It's hard to get a gauge on exactly what the figure will be – Sunday afternoon games don't rate as well as night games for obvious reasons – but we're expecting a high number.

"To be fair the Titans were doing better as it was, but this is a great bonus for us."

The NRL's free-to-air partner Channel 9 will be desperately hoping Neil Henry's men can cling to a finals berth with Hayne's appearance in the post season likely to be a major drawcard.

"If the Titans hold onto their spot in the eight I think Jarryd's return is going to add a huge extra element of excitement to the finals series," Channel 9's director of sport Tom Malone said.

The Titans were scheduled to feature in just two Channel 9 games this year, both of which they've already played against the Broncos and Dragons.

It's believed Hayne's prized signature is not an automatic guarantee the Titans will be granted more free-to-air exposure in 2017 given their pulling power is far inferior to that of south-east Queensland rivals the Broncos.

Channel 9 will wait until the end of the season to discuss which teams are likely to be prominent in its scheduling next year.

Titans fans are already on board though with the club all but guaranteed its biggest crowd of the season after tickets sales surged in the 24 hours since Hayne's unveiling.

Gold Coast's biggest crowd this season was the 21,080 for the clash against neighbours Brisbane, but it could be topped for the visit of the Warriors, who are just one rung below the Titans on the NRL ladder.
