And she also thinks she could take him down in a game of one-on-one.

The two superstars of Australian basketball have smoked the peace pipe in Rio after their disagreement on social media, but Cambage isn't going to let Bogut off that easily.

"At the end of the day I feel like I still do need to educate Andrew, I mean Bogut, on police brutality and racial profiling from police officers in Australia," Cambage said.

"So if we get some time, if I catch him in the dining hall, he's probably going to hate me because he's going to get an education day."

Cambage scored 22 points in Australia's 61-56 win against Turkey on Sunday night.

Both Cambage and Bogut are joking about their social media stoush now but it  created tension between Australia's two Olympic basketball teams ahead of the Rio Olympics.

The NBA championship-winning Bogut cleared the air ahead of the Games, admitting he and Cambage made up in a chance meeting in the athletes village.

"The girls showed me the article because I'm not on any social media," Cambage said.

"Can I just say he hugged me first. It was funny because we were leaving the laundry, and I was like 'Oh, here we go'. But at the end of the day, we're teammates. People read a lot into what happens on Twitter but it's really not the real world.

"People can literally say whatever they want on Twitter but you don't know if they're being sarcastic or real ... But it's all good. At the end of the day we just want both teams to do really well. He's an amazing player, even though I feel like we could go one-on-one one day."

Bogut admitted he was nervous about running into Cambage in the village, but the Opals point-scoring machine says she wasn't concerned about crossing paths.

"I knew I was going to see him," Cambage said. "We live in the same building. We're going to go watch the boys play. We're teammates. Team Australia is a family - it doesn't matter if they're divers, gymnasts, hockey players. We support each other, we're one team.

"It was just a bit of joking around on Twitter. At the start, I was a little bit angry about it but that's just me. That's just Liz being Liz, and then I'm over it a couple of hours later."

An inspired performance from Cambage saved Australia from an embarrassing defeat against Turkey in their second match of the group stage at the Rio Olympics.

The Aussies found themselves trailing at the end of the first two quarters against the 10th ranked Turkey, before Cambage sprung into life and racked up 22 points to help the Opals to their second win from as many starts at the games.

The Opals will be desperate to finish on top of the group and avoid the all-conquering US women's team, who smashed Senegal by 65 points in their opening game in Rio on Sunday morning. 

Australia's attempts to run down the clock late in the fourth quarter were met with some boos from the crowd, however the world No.2 team withheld a Turkish resurgence to hold on to the win.
